In 2017, the Japan Management Association (JMA) had commemorated the 75th anniversary of its establishment in 1942. During this period, JMA has been active as Japan’s representative organization promoting management innovation. It has now evolved into the JMA Group, consisting of eight related bodies and a number of overseas offices, which have been set up to meet all management innovation needs of companies and organizations including promotion of industrial development, assessments and verification, surveys and research, education and training, publishing, information services, etc.
With this as a foundation, JMA as the core organization established the Japan Management Association Quality Assurance Registration Center (JMAQA), a certification body, in 1994 in response to the global trend toward third-party assessment and registration (certification) for companies and organizations. JMAQA provides highly reliable certification services that have received positive evaluations from the market and consumers in a broad range of fields, based on our philosophy of promoting socially responsible businesses that are endorsed by the public.
A key feature of JMAQA’s certification services is that they support the establishment and maintenance of a management system that is of real value for business based on the principles of neutrality and fairness. This is possible because of our unique character as a public interest body specializing in management with no partiality to the interests of specific industries, as well as the management philosophy and techniques that have been cultivated over many years by JMA.
JMAQA’s quality policy is embodied in our commitment to operate a quality assurance registration center that contributes to sustainable development in Japan and the international community by promoting good management through fair, neutral and meticulous certification activities. This is achieved by assessment and registration based on the spirit of an equal partnership with the people involved in the application for certification as well as the registered clients.
We at JMAQA believe that it is our responsibility to respond to the trust placed in us as a social asset by promoting ISO assessments that are truly useful for management innovation. We look forward to being of assistance to you in meeting your certification requirements.
